Educational Opportunities: Vegetable gardens serve as an interactive learning environment. They offer hands-on experience with biology, ecology, and nutrition, fostering a deeper understanding of food systems.
Community Connection: Churches can use gardens to enhance their community outreach. Offering fresh produce to local food banks or hosting community gardening events can strengthen bonds and create a supportive network.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
No matter what time of the year it is, this is our most asked question. The truth is depending on your commitment, vegetables can be grown all year long with the right supplies and planting. So why not start now?
-
The majority of vegetables require 6 hrs of sunshine per day. The south side of your house typically gets the most sun. But we can work with you to find the perfect location.
-
We highly recommend installing a drip irrigation system to set yourself up for success (equired for all our personal gardener packages). This one element alone can be the difference between loving gardening and throwing in the trowel. Plus, consistent watering makes all the difference when it comes to harvest time.
-
This is a hard question to answer. We recommend planter boxes in any of the following configurations depending on your space:
4'x4'
4'x8'
3'x6'
Determining how many of each size you need will take some consultation. Be prepared to answer the following questions in order to narrow things down:
What are your favorite vegetables you already eat?
How often do you eat vegetables and how much?
How many people are we trying to feed?
We find that succession planting and high-intensity planting allow for the largest harvests in the smallest places. But on the conservative side 200 sq ft of garden space will feed a family of 2 if planned appropriately. The more the better, but we understand certain limitations.
-
We promise anyone can garden. Bold statement, we know. Any gardener will tell you that the pathway to becoming a good gardener is in the process. Your green thumb will grow.
-
We offer 1hr virtual consultations for clients wanting some basic advice.
We are also working on providing an online course complete with a gardening handbook that will walk our clients through growing vegetables from any corner of the US.
